Hard Disc problems

i have big problem, have segta HDD 120gb cache 8mb  system is fresh.. windows 98 SE_Polish

when i some things save to my drive, i ear the strange sounds from him. type of sounds "dim diim, tu du tu du, wzzzrrrrrr"  disc work normally, no suspends, only 16% of disc is used.(29gb=16%)  i tried to cooling the disc by windmaker.sometimes disc is hot.

when i opened the drive, and lok to inside, i found small damages on saucer. is some dirt, and i tried to fix him. i cleaned up him, and close the disc(screw up) and launch comp . problems has remoed but i ear new sound is vvery low, but i ear him. is a type "prrrrrr", i maked scan disc, i found bad sectors  140mb damages!!! sector 190 and claster 79 is damaged, and some files are lost, program found technical damages, and cannot repair it, i cutted the damages, to removve problems with saving files.. but sounds not fly away..

If it's under warranty take it back and get a new one. :P

syczek you should never open a hdd , your warranty will now be void , and you should never clean inside a hdd , throw it away and start again.
