Emperor Prob

After i while i quitted playing emperor i decided to play it again because i like the game :D

So i installed it again....

When i want to start Emperor i get the beginning screen of it and then it falls away and it doesnt start up.... :- :-[ :(

Does someone have this problem 2 or can some help me fix it??

This should be in Tech support, but are you running Win XP ?

If so download the SP1 Service pack.

i have that 1 already, for SP1 was there for Win XP i could play to, i dunno why it doesnt work anymore now :S

So i installed Emperor...

When i click on the icon to start the game i get a screen of emperor when its starting up, and then the screen go away but it doesnt start up :S

and i have SP1 already and it doesnt help :-[ really want to play emp back... :( ???

Can you attach your dxdiag report ?

To create the report, click on Start / run and type in the bar DXDIAG.

Run all the tests and save the report, attach it in your reply please.

Are you saying that Emperor worked and then you installed SP1 and it stopped working? You could try re-installing, I had the same problem after updating to SP1 and that fixed it for me.

Hey i can't give you the test resulst because they are in dutch, but i can say they were all okay, so that can't be the problem...

I see that you have the latest Nvidia drivers installed.These are causing alot of problems for gamers.

If you updated these drivers recently, try rolling them back to the previous driver.

i reinstalled my whole windows, with those drivers you gave me, and it still doesnt work :(

Just to check something, can you post a new dxdiag report please, name it dxdiag2.txt and attach it.ok

Do you have Norton anti-virus or firewall installed ?

Also are you using the same CD rom drive to play the game as the one you installed the game with.?

When you put the Game CD in the drive, does it make any clicking noises, with the drive light off ?

Can you install other software without problems from the CD drive ?

Norton AV and Emperor Battle for Dune don't make the best of software combination possible. Just to try something out. Can you both uninstall Norton and Emperor Battle for Dune. Then re-install Emperor and see if it works ok then ?

i have installed the game on c: drive(extra hard disk, not the one where is windows on) but i install all games on that c: drive

My F: drive is the one with windows one and my CD rom player is D:
