Atomic Mitten
Did you install all the XP hotfixes and updates ?If you did, contact Microsoft tech support, as they have a fix for cd roms.I had a similar problem with my cd roms, windows lost the shortcuts to my cd rom drive and couldn't access the drive. Are you using the same drive as the one you installed the game on ? Nyarlathotep
Could you attach your dxdiag ?Also, if you have NAV 2003 installed, uninstal it. Then uninstall EBFD and re-install it again, without having NAV 2003 installed.See if that works. If that works, install NAV and use the fix described in the "EBFD - NAV" thread. antwan
Nothing to do, with or without NAV and after re-install EBFD. Here my last DxDiag[attachment archived by Gobalopper]
Atomic Mitten
Try upgrading your sound blaster drivers for your audio card.Uninstalling NAV stills leaves entries in the registry, use regedit in the Start/run window. In regedit use the search and look for entries with Norton, or Symantec or both.Delete these registry keys. Then re.install the game without NAV.I also noticed your freespace on your C drive is low, run windows defrag.Try and delete old programs to make more space.I also noticed you have not run the DX diag tests for 3D,open dxdiag and run all the tests audio tests too.
