Yep, that's right. Another epic. Although "mini-epic" fits this one better as I plan for it to be considerably shorter and (hopefully) better. :)

Across the Wooden River

Awaketh did I,

After slumber so eternal,

That hath I not awoken at present time,

Forgotten would be my name, my being, my all,

Along with all I had forgotten from recent fall,

My past, my life and indwelt strife,

Gone to me. Candles blown out by the storm.

Many days hath I spent, alone in the dark.

Acompanied by the darkness of my heart,

And of the very room for no light shineth

In this blackened sarcophagus of fear and hate

That entombs me now and even as the breath I draw

From my tired and grated lungs comes forth as death rattle,

Does a sound grapple with my ears, waylaying my present all pervading fears,

For something more primitive still, survival and continuation of my will.

Crouching in the closeness of corner dark,

Slideth back the door like serpent, hark!

And in the doorway of this curst domain

Stands a figure, himself entombed by light,

And the darkness of his body fits him tight.

Rent with fear, my mind was glazed,

And in falling haze of reddened rage,

I pounced on he, the keeper of keys,

Who in my mind was the terrible reason,

That set the brain upon my spine burning with the thoughts and angst,

Against he who put me here, against whatever reason held was I.

For reminiscence cut me short, the memories so lost.

Nothing came to me like light did now in dark.

Lost was I amidst the sea of missing being.

Come on guys. I know people at least look at this cos I've seen ppl look at it on who's online. How much effort does it take to leave a simple commenting post?

Anyway, more coming soon.

Thanks, guys :). I always appreciate comments, no matter how undetailed.

And I was cast aside.

Driftwood thrown by mighty wave.

A rag doll crushed by the weight of air itself.

And behold now the Keepers' eyes doth shine red.

Or so thought I at first, but upon closer sight,

Brought to me by aggressive light,

The reddening was but my blood.

Trickling down my skin.

Before mine own eyes.

I crawled to silhouetted future now,

And hung-hold about the hem of night-black cloak,

That seemed to hang about him,

Black to me it seemed, but I could not tell whether any shade,

So dark was it and so dazzling the contrasting light.

"Languish here in sepulchre dark.

Dark as your soul which if it still existeth now,

Might save you from this lasting fate.

Placed here in the Asylum art thou,

For crimes 'gainst sanity of man,

'Gainst sanity of God and of all His choir."

And with that portal closed.

The blinding light gone.

I knew now with mortal ken,

The hopelessness of my own domain,

Kept 'gainst my own will in place insane.

Hungry, thirsty, tired and dirty.

Couldst not stand upon the floor.

Could barely crawl with limbs askew.

I wept an ocean of saline tears,

Mixing red as they washed the gore from mine visage.

I raked the oaken door with claws of desperation,

'Till the stubs ran freely with blood of mine,

And weeping still, the pain hoped to kill,

I fell down to sleep on stony ground.
