Kyle Posted September 6, 2003 Posted September 6, 2003 I'm having troubles with my isp. I downloaded Olaf's server program(for Emperor) the other day and now my computer's being bizarre. my computer's sending data to my isp and trying to infect their server. I scanned the computer and no viruses. Could Olaf's program have caused this? I get to the internet by dialing up to a server that a friend of mine has-which takes me out to the internet. My isp guy is calling me and saying that i'm trying to send data on to their server. I even did a worm check and i don't have that either. please help!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nyarlathotep Posted September 6, 2003 Posted September 6, 2003 A lot more people are using Olaf's programs. I seriously doubt it could be that (not sure what does though)...You can try to remove it and see if it stops..
Kyle Posted September 6, 2003 Author Posted September 6, 2003 Nyar-i did remove it but i'm still having issues.
gryphon Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 From what I saw from Olafs program it won't send data directed to an ISP. Or something like that. Besides that, sending data to a server should only be possible if your ISP has an accesable server that accepts data transfer to it. . which is weird to start with.. .Have you got a firewall installed capable of showing your current open connections ?Next time your ISP guy contacts you you could ask him more specific what you are sending to him and on which posts.
