Amalgamate the Emperor Forums on Fed2k.

I propose that everything be amalgamated into one Emperor Forum, except for map making and stuff like that.  

There is not much to talk about in terms of general news relating to Emperor, so most of the on-going discussions of Emperor relate directly to Emperor gameplay.  It is clunky and awkward for me and others to have to navigate 4 or even 2 different forums, plus having 2 different forums isolates what few Emperor players there are left from each other.

It's like the Official Boards.  Hardly anyone ever posted in the Tips and Tricks Forum.   Most people only navigate to the main Forum.   It would be beneficial to everyone if the Emperor General Discussion and Emperor Strategy Forums were amalgamated into 1 Forum.

Why not?  Why not make the strategy and general forum into one?  When you think about it, it's the best way to go.

Thats the approach we have taken. Personally I would find it easier to find strategies if there was a different forum for them and I didn't have to spend time looking through posts complaining about cheating or why something isn't right.

Agreed.  That is a very good point.  However, that's just one very shiny side of a coin that has two very shiny sides.

The downside to the current approach is that there are very few Emperor players left, much less of them who read and post on the boards, and even less of that group who actually will visit the strategy Forums.    Thus, with the current approach, the amount of discussion related to strategy will be much more limited than it would be if they were all in the same forum.

In addition, people like me who would like to see and participate in  more discussion of Emperor gameplay but can't be bothered visiting 2 different Forums to do so, are left hungry.

Both ways have their advantages.  I suppose I'll contemplate this idea further until I can polish it enough so that it becomes a revolutionary new invention, the "Wheel" of Emperor, then I'll check back.   ;D

Well, it's good that there are seperate strategy forums. Now you can find strategies there, and not between all the garbage from who cheated and who not. This forum has gone to waste since people were going to yell about cheaters.

Yeah well that's Westwood's fault for completely abandoning their games, including Emperor, and doing nothing to police cheating.  In a society with no law, no police, no one to enforce the rules, anarchy is inevitable.
