Emp Problem

I figured i would dust off my copy of emp and get a few rounds in. I installed it and everything was fine...but.. when i clicked the short cut to launch it i get a

when i clicked the shortcut i get a loadlibrary(~df394.tmp) One of the library files needed to run this aplication cant be found

any ideas?

I did what nav suggested and uninstalled direct x and reinstalled it from the empy disc...it worked to a point the new error is

Error:createProcess(C:windowstemp1ef7194)

Ex, do you have any cd copy programs ? If so, try removing them and run EBFD again.

I remember seeing this problem before and if I remember correctly, it's caused by the savedisk protection..

not that i know of.I wouldnt need one dont have burner or anything like that.

tried reinstalling emp...got the first error again.

tried dowloading the patch manually and got this error

Try unchecking the DMA box in the device manager (Start => Settings => Control panel => System => Devicemanager => cdrom).

For your soundblaster, try to see if there are newer drivers. Also, disable the CD Detector program.
