For some reason I'm now getting random pop-up's on sites that I know don't have them (I.E - Fed2k being one) and I can activate my pop-up blocker to stop them but that becomes a hassle. What I've done:

Scanned for spyware with Spysweeper and Adaware 6.0, deleted traces from both.

Cleaned my history/cache file on I.E

Any ideas?

this might not be it, but here's a suggestion (it worked for me)

ctrl-alt-del, and go to the task manager. i know it's not easy to indentify programs that shouldn't be running, but see if you can spot one that doesn't belong. a lot of times an exe file will be put on the computer which will pop-up ads for sites that don't have them. if the anti-spyware programs don't get rid of them, you have to track them down yourself and delete them.

just end the task you think might be causing it and start surfing. if the popups stop coming then you know you've found the culprit. then just run a search for the exe and get rid of it
