  1. Hi, I'd like to inform all of you emperor fans that a fanmap of mine has been made available for download. Look for "Desert Tunes". Comments are appreciated. Either multi-player or single skirmish. Have fun, Eric
  2. Hi, I hope it's only a startup effect. I'm trying to create my first map. Until now I have come quite far without any help. I don't expect many more, so please bear with me. I'll try to make it up by uploading my map when it's finished. I hope you'll like it then. By the way, can you answer some of them? Greetz, Eric
  3. Hi, I did read the readme. So what you're saying is that I should execute Switch.exe AND restore the .txt files which the readme talks about? I thought that was merely for safety reasons. Strange that this isn't done by the Switch command! And what about the two files with names spelled only in numbers? What are they exactly? I made a backup, do I need to restore those as well? And if I want to switch back to KH2, do I need to execute the reverse process? Thanks for taking the time to answer. Regards, Eric
  4. Hi, So I downloaded the cool music from DJCID. But how do I get the KH2 mod to play these tunes? ADVthanksANCE, Eric
  5. Hi, I noticed that after installing KH2, incl. the latest KH patch and V1.09, and switching back to "normal" mode with the mod switch, several units now sound like Sardaukar (or should I say Corrino). Is there a patch planned for the Switch? Or, how do I get back to the original settings without a complete re-install of E-BFD? Greetz Eric
  6. Hi, Anyone noticed that the AI cheats? Try this: Play in hard mode, fight to win, but don't destroy the refinary. Whipe out the enemy including carryalls and harvesters. Lean back and wait. It doesn't take long before an extra carryall and harvester come in from the side of the map. And yes, the refinary is fully upgraded. You may even see this happen during the game and in medium or easy mode. Greetz, Eric
  7. Hi, Title says it all. I'm trying to create a dustbowl that look ssimilar to those in the official maps and the campaign. Actually it seems I'm having trouble with drawing sand in general. So if some of you guys would want to share some general sand drawing tips and tricks or dustbowls in particular, I'd be forever grateful. Well, maybe not forever, but still quite a while. Or just a while maybe. Could be even pretty short I guess. Or not. But I can't imagine I'd hate it. 8) Greetz, Eric
  8. I sort of expected this answer. So I started digging and found out that you can simply edit the .dme file with your favorite text editor. First jot down the coordinates of the spice mound, just put your cursor over it in the mapeditor. Then open your project's .dme file and search for SPICEMOUND. Simply delete the line with your coordinates. Save in the text editor and open again in mapeditor. The spice mound is gone. :D By the way, spice zones can easily be deleted with the mapeditor. It's in the manual. Just select and click the Delete key. Eric
  9. Hi, Two questions, I'd appreciate an answer: ??? 1) I placed a spice mound, but I don't know how to delete it. The manual explains how to delete a spice zone, but this technique doesn't work. If only I could move it, but that also won't work. Any ideas? ??? 2) What exactly is the meaning or importance of AI-zones? What does it tell the AI and how would I notice their effects in single skirmish? Actually these are more than 2 questions, but hey, you seem like a bunch of nice guys. Greetz, Eric ;)
