  1. Goodwill is important in the European scenarios to get building rights. You can give gifts and hire a manager that will improve good will.
  2. Heartland is my fovorite scenario/map. I just started playing again after a 5 year hiatus. Heartlang is the map I am playing. I find you have to be VERY agressive and EXPAND.EXPAND.EXPAND. Issue bonds everytime your credit allows. Set up and support steel and auto production and buy all the manufacturers involved (coal mines, iron mines, ports, tire plants, steel mills, auto plants). Best bet is start a RR between Chicago and Detroit and start electric and stay electric. PS I like heartland because this is the area I grew up in.
  3. Just like MD said. If you view the train whos route you want to copy then select purchase Locomotive its route and consist will be identical to the last train you viewed. Then click on the station you want to add and hold the mouse button down while you drag it to the righht to add it to the route. As long as you hold the mouse button down you can drag the stop up or down the list. The insert station here icon will snap up and down to show you where it will be inserted. If you want to have the exact same rote and consist but have the train start at a different station simply left click the upper left corner of the station where you want the train to start so the next station icon is there.
  4. I am also at work and this is from memory. Just leave the flag alone. At station A set your train to have 3 cars of iron. At station B set your train to have 3 cars of iron AND 2 cars of coal. Your train will leave station B with 5 cars, 3 iron and 2 coal. This assumes station B does not demand iron and few stations that supply coal will demand iron or vice versa. The readme file is a good reference for this. If station B does for some reason demand iron then it will be dropped there and nothing can be done. You would need 2 trains, one dedicated to each raw material. From memory... the red flag means the train will only drop the cargo if it is demanded at that particular station. The above assumes also that you are using the complex industry model. Otherwise everthing is accepted at every station.
  5. I looked on my RRTC Gold CD and found no such file.
  6. I tried down loading the map from the site and a zip file containing a media player file that doesn't run was what I got. I'm doing something wrong!?? Any way I would like to play it because I like the midwest region.
  7. I just emailed you the file. Please let me know if you need any other. Like I said in my e-mail the RRTC Platinum edition can be purchased at officemax for 9.99.
