If it were by Lovecraft, much more of the story would be taken up by the insane gibberings of those who had he misfortune to even <i>witness</i> a sandworm. ^^

Quite by accident, actually. I got hold of a copy of Dune 2000 and was looking for patches. Google delivered me here. ^^

I honestly couldn't agree more. It's depressing to go to Borders and see almost as many KJA/Dune titles as there are bloody Warhammer 40k. *sigh* On that note, all things considered, I don't think anyone but FH could have written a successful Dune.

I'd most definitely see it. IMAX would make it that much better. ^^

I first saw the reference to Meta-Cyanide when I read the Glossary in the back of the first book. (This was, like, 3 days ago. I'm quite new to Dune.*) I'd tried to start the book sever al times, but was bogged down by the labarynthine language and mysterious references... So I read the Appandices and Glossary first. ^^ *Please don't throw stones, I'm only 18. ^^;
