  1. wow, thank you! This is awesome. this seems (so far) to be exactly what I was hoping for. now the only other thing is I can't figure out if this is unique to me or the trainer itself, but the "Trainer+16 Dune 2000 GruntMods Edition Ver.1.6.2.4 by {kolyan963963}" trainer requires relaunching in between every game, or it simply takes no effect. Does that happen to anyone else?
  2. I've downloaded a handful of the mods and tried to apply them, but it gets a bit annoying especially when trying to apply multiple. Is there someone who would mash them all together in one install (or hell, keep a running git project of everything laid out properly, with additional mods/missions added as they come in, packaged properly, or modders can actually submit a pull request with their updates?) - as of right now I've got the Ordos green sidebar and sound effects no matter what I do, and I'm pretty sure I followed things properly. I just want to have all the missions available, easily. I'd toss in a little cash for the effort / to jump start this effort. Instead of a lot of various "how to install" documents it could just be one Dune 2000 install with all the mods and missions, the launcher, etc together. Especially helpful if there's conflicting mods and could have some installer or switcher bundled to do that. Trying to piecemeal multiple together has somehow messed things up. Also, one of the mods I tried just kept crashing the game anyway, and I wasn't sure if I installed it wrong... someone else who knows for sure could do it and get it right!
  3. I was hoping since it's standalone it'd work without any issues with my GruntMods install (which I tried adding some mods to, and it became a bit unstable randomly) But this fails to launch completely. Screen goes into 640x480 for a second (or some other dimensions) and then goes back to the desktop. Tried the "High Resolution Patch" as well. No difference. Win10 x64 Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042, for what it's worth.
  4. Alrighty, the maps are up now at: http://michaelshadle.com/dune2000/ Enjoy!
  5. the best trainer i could find, yeah, the razor 1911/mrnop one. it didn't seem to work outside of win95/win98, so for a long time i couldn't run it under win2k or XP. then one day i got the smart idea to pay someone to figure out how to fix it or make a new one. the guy was able to determine how to fix most of the features. at least, the most important and noticable ones. i will pm you and then i will post whatever you can send over to me on that dune2k page.
  6. of course, to each their own :) yes, i will host anything people send me. don't send me the ones that come with the game either. i already have those :)
  7. Can you send the link to me too? Or email it directly - mike503 AT gmail.com will work. I can put it up on my website. I was sad to see dune2k.com's download links disabled, I wanted to play different maps! Here's my contribution to the Dune 2000 scene - I paid someone a while ago to make the trainer work under Windows XP (I think any NT-based architecture): http://michaelshadle.com/dune2000/ I wound up paying over $100 :) It was worth it to me. The game isn't fun without instant build etc. I just love getting out stress by creating huge armies and obliterating the enemies. A fun bonus is playing multiplayer with the computer and enabling the cheats for the computer... good luck :)
