Woah woah woah woah woah. Woah woah. No one messaged me you guys were back?!! DLA is being revived!! I'm a bit but hurt that no one contacted me but, give me 24 hours to reformat a computer with XP and I'll be online. I will gladly play on the behalf of DLA again. Holy shit.. Hey Riott, Hey Steef. How have you to been?!! I haven't heard from you two in fucking 5 years or so. I had to recover my password to post this. But.. Wow. So worth. It's so cool to see other DLA members again!

Pre-purchased the Vita, should be here by the 24th. I'm pretty excited about it, it seems to have a lot of good features. I'm not happy with a couple of things Sony did, but it still looks like an amazing product.

He was getting really good. I remember I came back for a short period of time, and wiped the floor with me. I hope we can find some of the old players, and maybe arrange some kind of skirmish, or (if a miracle happens) a small tournament.

Wow.. I'm extremly happy to see that this community isn't dead.. I was feeling a bit nostalgic for Dune and decided to surf all the old websites.. It still saddens me that they took down the original DLA website. The original website is what inspired me to get into clanning, and creating designing my own sites. I hope that some people still play, as soon as I get my Dune2k disc from home, I'm going to boot her up and see if I can still play. Has anyone seen ShyGirl4, DLABaron, or Ophirus in the last couple of years?? I never got any of there contact info, and I would love an oppurtunity to beat one of them.

Think I may buy an old PC with Windows 98 so I can jump on some time. I ran across the old FoH site and I'm feeling abit nostalgic..

The nahoo doesn't work at all for online play, if your going to use it for single it works perfectly.

No. The community left because it's so difficult to get Dune 2k running correctly. We have to be on 8bit mode, we can't listin to the music, we can't use a router and have a firewall running. This is just to list a few, and I still couldn't get Dune running without lagging. This is why the community left, don't be mistaken.

Well the thing is I don't have net anymore. I've been surfing the net through the school (which I'm not supposed to do). It's been really difficult and I'm starting to go through internet withdraw. =P

Well man I can't get back on my desktop computer has been stolen and my cd drive on my labby doesen't work. So if we get a no-cd version install of dune2k I will get on. I was wondering though if you'd remember my earlier nic IceSolidX because you recruited me to FoX before you left. But then after you left their was about 6 months were no FoX got on and I quit. About acouple months later I joined DLA.

DUDE!!! Why didn't you tell us before that their was an alternative to XWIS. How well does it run? Do you go oos alot? Does it lag badly? If it doesen't do those things I will make a comeback tour. =P XWIS has me pissed me off in the past so badly on its inability to act on Dune2k that I left dune. But I will come if these people care.

I thought their were no working map editors for windows xp for dune2k. Is their?

For a staff member you have quite an strong pen. You should really watch what you type a mod trying to start a flame war. Thats so pathetic I would get on you more about it but since I have been apart of Dune2k for awhile and I have alot of friends who've been apart of this site I won't. All right back on topic where is Olaf now? He has the rights to a server he cares nothing about and claimed he was going to support it. He has not posted a thing saying what hes doing or what he is having trouble on has he? Olaf may have saved emperor but he isn't going to save Dune2k. I have tried being nice. I have sending him well thought out private messages, no foul language used, no written abuse used, just nice messages asking him to try to keep us informed or tell us something is going on. He has done nothing but ignore me.

No Ophirus you're cool that post wasn't directed towards you at all. That post was directed to the people who have control of the Dune 2000 server.

I don't really think Dune2k cares about Dune 2000 anymore (ironicly). They just don't care. They look at us and think it was fun while it lasted but it is over now. They won't help us in the least. Not to mention that Olaf is a complete idiot that he can't even program his own server to work with Dune. Or if hes to lazy to do the dirty work himself. You decide which is worse.

Well the only thing I could think of is if you don't have the most recent Dune2k patch version 1.06.

Jeeze this upsets me to no end. You know you really need to learn you need to keep people informed. It just pisses people off when they feel like they're being ignored. You could at least spare a fucking second to answer us and tell us you're doing something, or nothing for that matter. At least E.A. replied back to us (Only to tell us that we we're on our own though).

I know XWIS knows of the problem that when someone trys to host a game on your Dune2k server it takes 8 or 9 times of Dune2k crashing and that person restarting to actually host 1 game. I think you guys have another problem as well it seems that every time I try to chat in alman I get the same kind of crash cept this is every time. I'm not trying to be greedy but damn this is getting unbelieveable. I do appreciate what you've done we're just asking for alittle more.

We'll I agree with this and if Olaf asks me to make a web page for support for Dune 2000 I would happily do so. I'm kind of a novice but I still could create a pretty good website with forum. WOL is down for good. Don't edit the host file. XWIS is the only server that I know that you can actually play Dune on. Even though you have to host a game 6 times for it to host without crashing.
