I suggest Star Wars Knights of the old Republic. I just got it today its pretty quality. I think it just came out. Also morrowind and it's expansion Tribunal.

Myth 2 has a great story, gameplay is awesome and has been given 4/5 or 9/10 by places such as gamespot and others. It is considered a classic of storytelling. something that is hard for you to grasp obviously.

diablo 2 is a clickfest. i never said it's an RTS. it's barely even an RPG.

Myth II has a great story - fine, i can agree to that. Bungie did a really good job of hiring other companies on contract to write a story for the game, and provide excellent voice acting. However, this only occurs by way of a narrator in-between missions. Yes, those scenes are excellent. *BUT* - it can not salvage Myth II from being a horribly-awful game. The gameplay SUCKS! It's the worst RTS of all time. The only "challenge", as I've said, is "Micromanaging the Camera Angle" constantly. and of course, reloading the game every 2 minutes when you happened to have the camera at the "wrong spot" while an enemy battalion entered the game.

for those who never played the Myth games: it is an RTS game where the camera never ever moves unless you press keys on the keyboard which correspond to the direction you want it to move. it is impossible to move the camera in the Myth games with your mouse! and the camera does not move automatically. the *only* time the camera ever moves in any direction is when you press the "Camera Movement" keys for every single degree you ever want the camera to move.

if you think playing an RTS game where microing the camera angle is the fundamental core of all gameplay, Myth games are for you. if not, avoid it like the Bubonic Plague. some great voice-acting between Missions can't salvage this dung pile.

tho if anyone knows how to extract the between-mission narrations, i'd love to know that so i could enjoy all the narration. i can't be bothered fighting the camera angle and agonizing my way thru the game.
