Why should it? Surely that would be almost redundant, since you would assume that a charity has no religious connections unless otherwise informed.

Secular Charity of Ohio? Well, you make me laugh, Acriku, that was a good one! ;D If someone is poor for whole life and lives only to make some food for today, he will appreciate any help, he won't see any difference between charities. Only important thing for him is to receive help, no matter from whom.

Well some atheists do have positive doctrines like humanists for example. And I would imagine if you checked to see the amount of humanists who do social/charitable work as opposed to mere atheists, it'd be perhaps as high as the percentage of Xians who engage in it. A lot of that comes down to conscience and I think there is far more to a person's conscience then religion.

I mean even a person who adheres to a religion that says "you must sacrifice children to the cow God" will know tehre's something wrong and feel bad about it. Because a certain amount of morality is part of human nature.
