I used to the read the Turtles. Eastman and Laird's original. I still have the first printing of issue 1 of the original black and white series. I saw it sell at an auction for $10,000 during the big turtle hype of the late 80s and early 90s, but I have had mine since 1986 :P. That's another example of a good comic book movie (the first one, as the sequals were based on the cartoon). It wasn't near as graphicaly violent as the comic was, but it captured the flavor well.

In still have all of my turtles things packed away. Thosands of dollars of paraphenilia. Includiong the kiddie Archie comics versions. (The black and white was made by Mirage Studios)
