Navaros Posted May 1, 2003 Share Posted May 1, 2003 there are lotsa ppl buying Emperor out of the bargain bin for a few bits of loose changeas well, many of the n00bs probably got Emperor as a Christmas/Birthday gift or some other occassion along with a bunch of other bargain bin crap (not that Emperor is crap, but most of the stuff in the bargain bin is) so they may have been preoccupied playing all the other crap they got (since bargain bin games are cheap so parents will buy many at a time in order to give their kids more presents at once) and have now just got around to opening Emperor even though the box has been in their house for a long timefurthermore, there are no Ladders any more. no one who doesn't play in the Ladder will ever be truly developed as an Emperor player. I have never once seen an elite player of anywhere near the caliber of the best players to ever play Emperor who did not have extensive Quickmatch experience. The thrill of the Tournament truly developed elite players and it don't matter how many Custom games a n00b plays to try to simulate that development; it will never achieve the same result.
