Interesting how you go all prissy on me, but as calm as you can be on Nema.

Why am so hostile? I don't think I am hostile, unless you're faith can't handle the pressure and you become very emotional (which is what you do all the time). If I kept posting, "Christians are evil, they are stupid as hell! I can't believe how many stupid idiots out there believe in a god for crying out loud! They are so stupid" then I would be hostile. But I do not resort to that, which you seem to have done many times (especially in this thread). I have withstood a lot of heat from other people and you included, but I move on because it doesn't affect me. I am called an extremist, a fundamentalist in the worst sense of the word, but do I cry and moan go boohoo and lash back at the accuser? Or even make threads that starts out negative towards you? No.

I listen all to well to your post, Gob's post, sneezer's post, emprworm's post, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with it.

I think this is starting to seem kind of stupid. In general, my views correspond closely to Acriku's for everyone's knowledge. But its just a contest now :P Throwing insults around wont settle the argument. I'm sure your friends are very smart people TMA, but I'm sure Acriku has some very smart friends aswell. A lot of smart people have done things that aren't very smart, and most have differing views.

and a lot of smart people subvert themselves into slavery against something they hate so bad, they are consumed by it, unable to escape, because like a weakened man on his knees before his slave master, they are bound to something they claim to oppose, yet cannot escape from it. They deny that it even exists, yet it haunts them day and night so that there is no rest. Wherever Christianity goes, there will be Acriku. The two are joined and will be this way until Acriku draws his last breath.

Try to stay on-topic, if you want to post something that is off-topic start another thread instead. and Harassing, threatening, intimidating, or discriminating remarks toward other members will not be tolerated. are there by mistake. Whether it is the point you are trying to make or not, it is the point I am trying to make - and that is such a breach of manners is in breach of the rules, and I expect you to apologise. You do not go around referring to people's immaturity and age, calling them arrogant in trying to make a point. If you have a complaint about Acriku that you cannot rectify with mature, calm reason, try to settle it by IM, to him, or to Gob.

What was wrong with simply saying that his classification is not exhaustive, and should not be restricted to Acriku's own findings?

the difference between Agnosticism and Atheism is a fundamental change in view point. Acriku may be in the process of changing from one viewpoint to the other which is a fairly traumatic experience. (If traumatic is the right word to use) Certainly having got used to one set o beliefs you resist changing them even as you begin to accept another.

So Acriku may intellectually realise that deities may exist etc. but his subconcious refuses to follow and hammers out "There is no god".

Untill he can actually accept the idea of the universe with god or gods he's stuck in limbo land.

I already know deities may exist, I am not so bold as to proclaim no god exists. But I agree on the rest of your post, whether it applies to myself or not I don't know, but it's likely. Cognitive development isn't completed for myself, so who knows.
