Piter dies just after Paul is born, yet the Baron tells him he was wrong about the gender when Paul is 15. Those are two Piters. So:

Piter 1 gets killed by Mohiam

Piter 2 bashed by Baron for having the gender of Paul wrong.

I think it isn't very nice of the Baron to give Piter 2 the fault for a mistake Piter 1 made. ;D

You have to remember that the Baron has no soul.  He probably was simply "taking it out" on Piter-the-Last.

Although I'm not a huge fan of the two Piter's either.
