number6
Quickly looking through your log file I see nothing unusual that stands out. I decided to look into your chipser which is a KT333. The via site had a link to a Microsoft known problem:http://support.microsoft.com/search/preview.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q321178In your log file it shows service pack 1 for XP. I am guessing that is the latest service pack. When did you install XP or the service pack? Does any other 3D games have a problem? I will continue to look at you DirectX output and see what I can find.
mavgr70
WindowsXP and the service pack are installed together from the same cd ona new Maxtor disk. Other 3D games are working fine (Mafia, Medal of Honor,Impossible Creatures, Age of Mythology). I' ve used a utility named Riva Tuner to fine tune my card. Through thisprogram the Detonator drivers i use (40.72) are recognizing my card (GeForce3 Ti 200 128MB) as a Nvidia Quadro card. Do you think that this might be theproblem? number6
The problem report from Microsoft says some games may have a problem, so it could be that Emperor is one of those games. There are a lot of people on this site that can play the game on XP so I guess this was a bad lead. Riva Tuner is a video card overclocking utility and I would suggest disabling it and see if the game runs.

Are you sure you downloaded the correct drivers, as the Quadro is a completely diffferent card as the GeForce. Also, try lowering down your resolution and put a default refresh rate.
