Thanks to Mr X for this new information he found at PCFan. This is a clip from the call Spartan made to Westwood:

Dune 2000: Expect it to go gold around August 1st. The date is slipping a bit due to play balancing issues (what do you expect from a game that has three different sides). Other than that, it's basically done.

More delays, oh well, I am used to them by now. If the game had been released on time, we could be playing it right now. At least they are making sure it will be a great game.
