The Command Centre is back and they have gotten some more questions answered by Westwood. Check them out below:

1) In multiplayer games, can you set the exact number of maximum units to build?

Yes. And there will be other multiplay options also. Tech level, worm activity, start money and a few others.

2) Have you signed any contracts with other multiplayer gaming companies like Mplayer, TEN, EGN, IGZ?

Nope. But you will be able to play over Westwood Online for free.

3) Any future plans for a Dune 3 using the TS engine?

Not at this time but you never know what the future holds.

4) Have you guys considered the balance issue if only the Atreides have the ornithopter?

Of course. Balancing is a top priority.

5) Will there be "clans" in WCHAT?

There aren't plans for Dune 2000 clans right now, but C&C2:Tiberian Sun will have clans. However, if enough Dune 2000 fans want clans, we'll certainly look into it.

6) How will you overcome the lag issue when there will be 4player WCHAT games?

Well, we have terrific servers and will do all we can with the multiplayer code, but a lot depends on the machines that players have. Fast machines with fast modems and quick Internet service will fair better than slower machines with poor Internet service.

7) Will the harvesters work like Dune 2 style or Red Alert style?

More like Red Alert, except you will be able to use carryalls to transport you harvesters.

8) Will there be a person (ingame voice) warning you of any incoming enemies like in Dune 2, or wil it be silent like in Red Alert?

You'll get certain warnings.

10) How will the spice replenish?

Spice blossoms.
