Noble Atreides have gotten even more from the PC Action article translated by Arne. Here is the latest:

Similarly like with C&C builds the computer the destroyed structures at same position again. Main goal is again the enemy construction yard, that hides in the last corner of the card mostly. Bad reproaches, the computer cheats, to even out about his enormous losses at the front don't prove to be true in Dune2000.

The commentary of Christian M. (an author of the PC Action-mag):

Nostalgic feelings arise again. Dune2000s origins lie in the time of the diskette-games, the Soundblaster-Setups and the care of the conventional RAM. What five years however still have continuance later, is still Westwoods unique game-idea, that could only so right awaken with C&C. Dune2 was not 1993 the chartbreaker. I think, with the outstanding film-sequences and the slightly improved Red-Alert-Engine, Frank Herberts book is realized even better, than 1984 succeeded in David Lynchs movie. My tip: First get the film from the video library and then play Dune2000.
