Want to know the possible release date? Read below,

Dune 2000 will go gold any second. It should be on sale before Labor Day, maybe as soon as next week.

It's not play balancing, just a couple stubborn bugs. We'd rather get them out now than release a patch later.

I myself agree with the above reasoning, I don't want to pay for a buggy game, if you don't believe that Westwood puts a lot of time into testing their games read this I got from an RSN Article,

We took a corner to the left and went into a high-ceilinged room with tons of computers of different kinds with people playing and debugging Dune 2000 for immediate release.

So, the game looks good for about a Labor Day release, which is on September 7th.
