I just added some of the the strategies found in the readme file to the General Strategies page. There are some great ones here, so if you need help in multiplay or general base building, check it out. Did you know you can place concrete in the others guys base and start building things of it, sounds like a great strategy. Here is a bit about updating your game as well:

2.18. Game Updates And Patches.

Dune 2000 contains an auto updating feature. Updated versions of the game will be announced to you when playing Dune 2000 on Westwood Online. When an updated version of the game is available you will be able to receive it and automatically have it installed, if you wish. If you do not intend to play Dune 2000 on Westwood Online then please check http://www.westwood.com for update information.

From what I understand from this, patches will be very easy to get.
