Stefan has just passed on some news about his game Arrakis. He hopes to have his website ready in a week, next Friday. It will cover both Arrakis and editing Dune 2. You will be able to find it at arrakis.dune2k.com once its ready. Here is the rest mentioning the progress of Arrakis:

Arrakis is growing fast. Though I am (again) reaching the borders of QB, I have got some levels from Edric O, those are pretty nice and I am also mixing the old missions into the new Arrakis. I have a demo ready but I would like to change some things before releasing it. It will contain:

- Windows Editor for adding/removing/testing levels

- Music (of dune 2, westwood site), optional

- New terrain editor

- Convert program to convert OLD Arrakis maps into NEW arrakis map format

- 10 Levels , all tech levels are used here

If you are interested the older version of Arrakis can still be found at Future Software under their QBasic section, look for the Arrakis button on the right.
