For those of you looking for more information on the Dune Miniseries here is a link to the New Amsterdam Entertainment website. They are the ones working on the filming of the project and there is a little bit of info on their page. Here is a caption from their news:

The 6-hour Miniseries, is being financed by USA Networks, Beta-Films (Germany) and the ABC Network. It is being directed by John Harrison who also wrote the script. Principal photography began on November 22, 1999 in Prague, CZ.
