There has been mention of a trailer or sneak peak for Dune 3 on the Red Alert 2 beta discs. This means that it will probably be included in the final version of the game that just went gold on Thursday. If you are interested check out this post in the forums over at RAX to see what a RA2 beta tester thinks of the sneak peak.

Update: Check out Brian's post from the comments section below:

The game in question is Dune 3: Emperor. It's a fully 3D game with about 30 seconds of footage. The most interesting bit of the footage comes at the end when one of the sandworms bursts in the sky (towards the camera) and devours a unit. Visually the game has style to spare, though the quick glance I saw made me think of Earth 2150. Freely rotating cameras from a fairly stable overhead view. The footage from the preview clip is fairly solid, meaning it looks to be about as finished as Red Alert 2 was when it was initially shown last April. Given that I'd estimate the release date to be definitely attainable in 2001. And considering that the team that worked on C&C2 is more than likely already at work on C&C3 you can also assume that they're busily tweaking the Dune 3 engine to work within the design concepts of C&C3 so there should not be another 4 year delay between C&C titles.

For certain it's an impressive demo and it will indeed be included on the RA2 disc when it ships later this month.

Sounds pretty impressive. For the person who asked if you had to buy RA2 in order to see the trailer, Westwood will more then likely release it around the same time.
