Mahdi, the newest updater at FED2k, was going to post about this tomorrow but after watching the new miniseries trailer I felt it couldn't wait :)

SCIFI has released a third trailer for the miniseries, this time an "official big-screen" version for the upcoming showing in early December. You finally get a chance to see the Sandworms in action, check them out below:

For those of you with slower connections try this version (3.6MB) while high-speed users can get the 18MB version. John Harrison also hints that there could possibly be another miniseries covering the later books in the future:

Q: You have mentioned elsewhere that the Dune miniseries remains consistent with the possibility of filming other books in the series. Are any of the actors under contract to return for a possible sequel, or would all of that have to be renegotiated? If not under obligation, do most of the actors seem willing to return?

A: All I can say at the moment is that there is great interest in pursuing a sequel to this miniseries which would be drawn from the other books in the series. If I am involved, which I hope to be, I can assure everyone that we will be as faithful to these books as I've tried to be with Dune. Yes, the actors who played their roles in this production would be expected to return... provided I (that is, Frank Herbert) didn't already kill them off.

Let us know on the messageboard what you think of the latest from the miniseries.
