Mike Bell of Westwood has provided some more information on the game in the messageboard and via email. Check them out below:

You can build 2 additional harvester bays per refinery if you wish. This means that 3 harvesters could be unloading simultaneously at a single refinery.

Your Fremen can summon smaller worms for riding in Emperor.

Your whole map is basically a playable section of a Heighliner. Obviously you can't harvest spice on a Heighliner as you would on Arrakis, so many of these missions will have you start with a predetermined number of units with very focused objectives (more like 'find the hostage' as opposed to 'destroy all enemy units.' It's a nice change from fighting on land, and the Heighliners infrastructure looks awesome.

The mutliple Harvesters at a single refinery should make spice harvesting a lot faster, no more harvesters waiting in line to unload.

The Fremen riding the Sandworms has to be the most requested feature, it will be interesting to see how it is done.

The last answer is on the Heighliner missions that we didn't know much about until now. They seem to be more like those "interior" missions from the older C&C games, I think the first Red Alert had them. For those of you wondering how you "harvest" in the missions not located on Dune, from what I understand you receive a set amount at the beginning of the mission and also get money at preset times. So you won't be gathering resources on the other homeworlds.
