As usaul Mike Bell from Westwood has been posting on the official forums answering the questions posted there. This time the questions range from the Sandworms to the type of game you can expect from Emperor, check them out below:

No, the blade spins whenever the vehicle is in motion. The blade stops when the vehicle is at rest.

Those "slugs" in the screenshot are from one of the subhouses.

When ridden, the worm itself is the primary destructive force. If its mouth is open, it may very well eat what's in its path. If the mouth is closed, it's pancake city!

There are different sizes of worms in the game. Fremen can summon the smallest makers to ride. These become temporary units that the player controls. They're not going to move as fast as an Ornithopter or a Dust Scout, but they move along pretty good. You cannot ride the larger worms.

Some of the 3D RTSs that have come out in the last 6-8 months are good games, but a little more difficult to get into than a Starcraft or RA2. Some RTS fans just don't want to mess with the camera and stick to what they've been playing for years. Other RTS fans want the 3D technology to play into it more.

Emperor will succeed in that you get the best of both worlds - sharp 3D graphics with intuitive RTS playability. Whether you like Ground Control or RA2, Emperor should be right up your alley.

The first answer is in regards to the Harkonnen Buzzsaw unit which has a spinning blade that will destroy Infantry as well as the spice fields.

Slugs as Davo mentioned last week are a unit from a subhouse most likely the Tleilaxu. You can see them in this screenshot of Caladan.

The third deals with the Sandworms and what exactly you can do while controlling them.

Lastly, Mike talks about other 3D RTS games and how Emperor will compare to them, hopefully as Mike mentions, Emperor will be an easy game to get into just like the older 2D RTS games were.
