Well, I've got some good news and bad news. Space: The Imagination Station has made some decisions concerning Dune, which is the good news. The actual decisions are the bad news. Space has decided to air the miniseries in 6 episodes, instead of the 3 Sci-Fi will be airing, and they won't be airing them until sometime in the new year. You can see the programme info here. Originally, they had planned to air them a few weeks after Sci-Fi in the same 3 episode format, but I guess they thought they could get more ratings by showing it in 6 episodes. Dune is one of the most talked about film's for Space right now (last month it was on the monthly FAQ, at their open house it was the 2nd most talked about subject).

Also, on the miniseries website they have added a profile of Miljen "Kreka" Kljakovic, the Dune Production Designer, to bios.

Finally, last night the trailers for Dune were first seen on the big screen, they will continue to be shown for awhile, check out the official site for dates, cities, and theatres.

Do you agree with Space's decision to wait until 2001 to show the miniseries, and then show it in 6 episodes, or would you rather that they just showed us it the way Harrison made it to be seen?
