Even though it has been getting mixed reviews the miniseries was the highest rated show in the SciFi channel's history nearly doubling the previous record. It had a 4.6 rating which means it was shown in about 3.06 million households. Check out the post from SciFi's newswire below:

The Dec. 3 airing of part one of The SCI FI Channel's original miniseries Frank Herbert's Dune drew the largest audience in SCI FI history, the network announced. With an average Nielsen rating of 4.6 for the 9 p.m. broadcast, Dune reached 3.06 million households.

That is almost double the number of households chalked up by SCI FI's previous ratings record holder, the June premiere of Invisible Man. SCI FI has already committed to a sequel to Dune from writer and director John Harrison. Part three of Dune airs Dec. 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. SCI FI will air all six hours again on Dec. 10, starting at 1 p.m. ET/PT. Dune will not air again on SCI FI until the second quarter of 2001.

I am working on a page where you can submit your reviews of the miniseries, it should be ready fairly soon.

Update: The review page is ready head over there and let loose :P
