Gamespot is reporting the announcement of "Dune" which seems to be the same game we found out about last month by Wide Screen Games and Cryo. But now they are mentioning a company from Canada, DreamCatcher Interactive, along with it. Here is part of that article from Gamespot:

DreamCatcher Interactive has announced Dune, its upcoming action-adventure game set in Frank Herbert's futuristic world. The game takes place in the year 10191, when two houses are fighting for control of the desert planet Arrakis and its valuable resource, a spice which gives long life and great power. The House Harkonnen massacres the House Atreides, leaving only two survivors who flee to find refuge with a nomadic tribe known as the Fremen. Players assume the role of Paul Atreides, one of the survivors, during the two years he spends with the Fremen. To demonstrate his worthiness, Paul must undertake many missions, including destroying the spice smugglers, harassing the Harkonnen, sabotaging factories, and more. Through the course of the game, Paul will improve his combat skills and master the special powers that make him unique.

Dune will be a 3D real-time game that features a mix of two-thirds action and one-third adventure. The game is being developed by Cryo Interactive and Widescreen Games. We'll have more information about the game soon. Dune is scheduled for release in September 2001.

So it looks like FH's Dune will be out in September and more information is forthcoming. I will try to sort out the whole DreamCatcher, Cryo, Wide Screen Games thing...

Update: It seems that Cryo and DreamCatcher partnered together a while ago. This partnership gave DreamCatcher the rights to distribute Cryo's game in the North America market. There is no news of the title on DreamCatcher's website yet but there may be something arriving in the next few days.
