As Mahdi mentions below and from the confirmation at the official site, the Dune Roleplaying Game and Voice from the Outer World have been canceled. Below is a synopsis of the message on the website:

In light of recent restructuring at Wizards, the Tabletop Roleplaying Games business team has decided to focus our internal resources on the production of our premiere RPG lines (D&D, Forgotten Realms, and Star Wars). As a result, we are announcing the following changes to our schedule:

We must also announce that, due to resource constraints and contractual issues, it has become necessary to cancel the two Dune products: the Dune Roleplaying Game and Voice from the Outer World.

I have never heard about "Voice from the Outer World" before but assume it was an expansion or update to the first RPG. My guess, since they mention contractual issues, is that they only had the option to create Dune role playing games for a set period of time and that has run out.

The purchase of LUG by WotC obviously plays a large role in this cancellation since production of the game was set back greatly with the decision to change from LUG's own system to the D20 system that WotC uses. My guess is that it just took to long to do it and they didn't have the resources to focus on it.

For those of you who were waiting for this game I would suggest checking for the special GenCon edition at online auction sites. Someone else may pick up the licence though, lets just hope WotC doesn't buy them.
