Westwood has posted it's first "behind the scenes" article earlier tonight. Paid to Play: Inside Westwood's Testing Department takes a look at the testing process Westwood has been going through with Emperor, here is part of it:

"It's not as glamorous as it sounds," says D'Andre, the department's lead tester for three years now. "There's actually a lot of grunt work involved." Heading a squad 18-30 testers (depending on the game in development), D'Andre must systematically test every possible attack combination - Assault Tanks against Rocket Turrets, Snipers against Sardaukar, you name it -- in every possible situation to make sure the mayhem runs smoothly. He slaps a two-inch-thick document on the table: a log of all the 1,600 bugs found -- and fixed -- so far. The document represents over 2,500 hours of grueling play for the test department, and in coming weeks, the crew will put in some serious crunch time as the release date nears.

Sounds like another tough day testing games, lets hope they get all the bugs before release. Take a read through the article, you even get some images showing just how hard these guys work! :P
