Westwood Online (more specifically VirtualTed) has recently posted their new method of awarding prizes for their games. To see the whole post, click here. Instead of randomly drawing names out of everyone who has played 25+ games and giving them a prize such as an mp3 player or a copy of another game, they are now awarding everyone who finishes in the top 25. With Dune 2000 each House has 25 winners, this month the prize being a Red Alert Soviet mouse pad.

This means that there will be many more winners each month, but the prizes aren't as good, and while I don't know about the other Westwood Online games, it's usually the same people in the top 25 of each House for Dune 2000, which means that it's always the same people who are going to win. What do you think of this new system? Do you prefer the old one?
