An interesting development not entirely Dune related but it should help in finding Dune related sites/resources. Google has bought Deja and now provide a much faster search method for newsgroups. This is a good resource if you either don't have access to the newsgroups or just want to look back at previous discussions. Check the "questions" section for more on this as well as an option to search this site.

I am also going through and adding the older news posts into the archive files so they are searchable as well. The last two years are already in and the first year should be finished by this weekend.

As we mentioned a few weeks ago, and now confrimed, Computer Gaming World has Super Dune II on it's monthly CD. I wouldn't recommend getting the game this way as the install process is somewhat complicated and I don't even know if Westwood supports it in any way. Since Super Dune II was basically a fan made modification of Dune II that lets you play as the Sarduakar, Fremen, or Mercenary I'm assuming they don't. I will see what the "official word" from Westwood is on this shortly.

Last up are two new site launches. Dune-MW and their hosted site Dune Revolution are the latest Emperor related sites, give them a visit you have some time.
