GA-Strategy has posted an interview with Chris Longpre producer of Emperor today. It covers a variety of topics but doesn't really ask anything new. Check out a clip below on the gameplay/campaign:

Q) On the replay value of Emperor Battle for Dune, just how linear is the game? Are there multiple paths, is there more than one ending? Will there be any randomness to the games levels that would make players want to go back after they have completed one?

A) The campaign is completely non-linear. Besides the numerous combinations of the three main houses with the five sub-houses, every battle is unique in the way it can be won. Each battle, even on the same map with same houses, will play out differently due to the advanced AI. Further, there is more than 1 mission per map available. So subsequent games will offer quite a bit of variety, and many missions are unique to a particular side. Players will really want to play all three sides to see all the missions and the three storylines.

If you are interested check out the entire interview, I am hoping to have the questions we sent in answered later this week when I get a reply back from Westwood so keep an eye out for them.
