Wide Screen Games has posted an art page for their upcoming game Frank Herbert's Dune. It holds the recognizable map of Dune that is at the start of the original novel and the prequels as a background and has one image of each of the main characters and forces including:

Paul (puff that chest out any further he's gonna fall over), Jessica (Hows she supposed to move in that?), Chani (whats the rope for?), Stilgar (Gob says its a maker hook, looks like a shovel to me), Fedakins (not bad except they wear no robes), Guildian the Guild Ambassador (Hmm, I wonder how they thought up his name? Guild, Guildian), Princess Irulan (looks like a porcelin doll), Vladimir Harkonnen (One legs bigger than the other. Whats up with that?), and two different types of, as wsg calls them, sardaukards (that is not a typo, the d and s are supposed to be there. One must be wearing the Harkonnen uniform, the other the Sardaukar uniform), and thats it. Seems to me they are going for an oriental look to this game (look at the women) and that the game isn't going to be near as close to the book as they claim (just take a look at Guildian if you don't beleive me. Where in the book was he?)

Some of you may have noticed the images from the miniseries in that last bunch of screenshots that Gobalopper posted about. If so, you probably also recognize the robes and stillsuits Paul and Stilgar are wearing, they are along the same lines as the robes in the mini. I have sent an e-mail to WSG asking if there is any connection between the miniseries and the game.

You've read my opinion, now what do you think about the images?
