Another update on the official website tonight. This time it's an interview with Frank Klepacki the man behind nearly all of the music in Westwood's games. There are eight questions on both Emperor and Renegade which are worth reading even if you aren't into music. It turns out they hired three different composers to do the music for each House. Check out one of the questions below:

Three composers were hired to create the soundtracks for the three houses of Emperor, you doing the Atreides. How closely did you work with the other two? Why did Westwood make the decision to do that for this title, when most of our games have at least two different sides?

The other composers worked independently with no interaction with me, other than they were given copies of my previous Dune music to be influenced by. We wanted each house to sound totally different, so the idea of three composers really did the trick. Besides, that would be three albums worth of music, and with my own particular style, that could get old after while!

It looks like Emperor will contain a lot of music, I guess they needed something to put on those four CD's. :)
