Well it is now official Emperor is finished and should be showing up as early as June 12th. Check out the press release at the official site, a clip from that release with the all important dates is below:

The battle for spice will begin in less than three weeks. Emperor: Battle for Dune has gone gold and will ship June 12 in North America, Westwood Studios announced today. The game will begin appearing in stores June 13 and should be fully distributed by June 16.

So be looking in stores around June 12-16th, although it will depend on your area for the exact date.
