PC Gamer UK has reviewed Emperor in the June edition of their magazine. The reviewer, Ian Roxburgh has mixed feelings about Emperor. While the review is mostly positive (and is listed as Ian's current favourite game), but Ian is disappointed that Westwood did not go further with Emperor, citing lack of innovation (same old same old "... us journos are practically duty-bound to grumble about.") and "it's definitely not Black & White by any meaning of the words." (which is actually a positive in my books :) ) as its weaknessess.

"Ultimately, Emperor: Battle for Dune is a well-polished, well-balanced RTS ... Despite a more detailed graphical agenda and a new storyline, you can't help but be left with a feeling you've seen it all before."

Score = 82%

Two comparison scores given with the review are 92% for Red Alert 2 (it's interesting noting that RA2 receives 10% more than Emperor, considering that Emperor got marked down for not being ground breaking ... but I digress :P) and 90% for Sacrifice.

The review also has plenty of new pics, including a FMV pic a Sardaukar general with a metal nose piece :)
