The Emperor chat with producer Chris Longpre brought in over 75 people, and a lot of great information about the game, including info about the next patch, came out! If you missed it, you can always catch the log of the chat on FED 2K, one of the Emperor fansites.

In the Emperor chat, Longpre revealed some of the things that will be included in the next Emperor patch, and the big news is that Emperor will support firewalls. As for the release date of the patch, Longpre had this to say during the chat: "We are going through elaborate testing on over 15 kinds of firewalls. This involves many many permutations to test all the combinations. It's a very time comsuming task., but we are in the testing stage. It will take a few more weeks to iron it all out."

Thursday August 16th will be the next Westwood vs. The World. Members of the Emperor team will be playing games from 9-11 A.M. PST, and again from 4-6 P.M. PST. Defeat a member of the Emperor team and win a prize. The last two Westwood Vs. the World's have seen good turnouts, but let's see a massive one for this upcoming one! Congrats to the winners of the last two, and we hope to see a lot more of you for this next one! So stayed tuned to the Emperor site for a list of screen names the Emperor team will be using.

Those of you who have had trouble with Atreides Air Drone rushers should be pleased to hear that the team is looking very intently at it. They may even crank up the Harkonnen Devestator some, although don't hold me to that.

New maps? Did I hear someone asking for new maps? I could've sworn there were some in this upcoming patch... did I hear something about Caladan, Geidi Prime and Draconis IV maps? Hmmm...

Did I hear someone say they were working on a map editor? Maybe? Bah! :)
