My apologies for not matching the exuberance of Mahdi's "Dunesday" post :), but I have come across another Emperor review. This one is from the tenth issue of UK mag Strategy Player (review not posted on their website). Emperor received 85%, with the reviewer concluding:

"... Emperor: Battle for Dune is a competent upgrade to the Westwood bedrock, the only gamers who will be disappointed are those looking for a radical new direction in strategy gaming. Perhaps the graphics aren't quite as stunning as we'd hoped but with giant worms, sandstorms and bags of mythology, Dune has something other games just can't touch!"

Strategy Player has a "How does it compare" feature with its reviews, and Emperor sits in-between Red Alert 2 and Ground Control.
