The British magazine Sight And Sound has a section dedicated to the multiple failures and successes of the film adaptions of Dune. Here is what they say about it online:

RIDDLE OF THE SANDS

The tortuous history of adapting Frank Herbert's classic Dune has been more a case of good looks than good storytelling. Philip Strick assesses a new video version and revisits the David Lynch epic that nearly ended the director's career.

This issue costs about 2.99 (Thats pounds, I just couldn't find the pound key). If anyone has or gets an issue, we would appreciate it if you would scan those pages or transcribe them and send a copy to me, Gobalopper, or Davo.

Also, the UK scifi channel has announced that they will air the miniseries in October. No word yet on the exact date, or which version they will be showing.
