Phil just keeps on posting at the Dune Generations forums. For a mere game designer he sure spends a lot of time on the message boards, not that I'm complaining. :)

Would children of BG wives/concubines get any type of bonus. There are several examples in the books (Paul, Miles Teg, etc) where BG mother taught their children some special stuff.

1-> you knows ? (let's keep some mysterie)

If there is a benefit to a BG mate, there must be a downside (lets face it, they are going to spy on you).

2-> downside there is, like trading with the tleilaxu... Do you want to see your gen skills be on the information's market?

Would a player ask the BG for a mate or would this happen only when the BG approaches the player first??

to make money, you could trade, make missions, resolve random events, manage your ressources, having vassals...

and when you begin the game you have an army
