Duncan Idaho Re-cast

What would we do without the Internet Movie Database? IMDB has updated their cast list of Children Of Dune with the name of James Watsons replacement for the character of Duncan Idaho. And the new Duncan is, drumroll please... Edward Atterton! Fans of "Alias" will remember him as Danny, Sydneys quickly killed off boyfriend, and those of you who have watched TNT's production of "Mists Of Avalon" (a fairly good miniseries, even if it was way out there accuracy wise) will recognize Ed as King Arthur. He has also appeared in the 1998 movie version of "The Man in the Iron Mask" as Lieutenant Andre (The Musketeer who is D'Artagnon's right hand man) with Leondardo Decaprio. Personally, I think Ed makes a fine choice. He is a good actor, looks like Duncan in this photo, and for those of you disappointed in the fight scenes in the original miniseries, he holds a black belt (1st Dan) in karate, so maybe they'll be able to do something better this time. Of course, first they'd have to right a scene where he has to fight someone....

For any Susan Sarandon fans, at this time rumours of her playng the Lady Jessica seem to be just that, rumours. As production begins sometime in April, you can expect more cast updates and other news soon.
