[Gobalopper]

If you visit the official messageboards or website you will have noticed that Westwood has decided to close up the official Emperor forums. Here is the message from Devinoch:

In an effort to help consolidate the Emperor community and ensure that our message boards are properly monitored, we have decided to divert our visitors to the largest Emperor Fansite board system at FED2k beginning April 18th.

Jesse "Gobalopper" Reid, FED2k's webmaster, has done a great job within the Emperor community, and we know that he will help continue the great communication between our fans that has helped make this game such a success. We'll continue to visit the boards there and answer questions from time to time.

As always, we thank you for all the time you've put into the Emperor community and hope to see you at Gobalopper's site.

So starting April 18th we will be considered as the "official" forum for Emperor. It will be interesting to see what impact this will have but with FED2k being really the only Emperor site left and Westwood no longer having the manpower to moderate the boards themselves it was probably the best decision. I will be working on getting some of the more popular threads converted to our messageboard system this weekend most likely, most importantly being the lockup and the expansion pack threads.

Speaking of the expansion pack don't forget to download Ghosty Square's update over at Dune Editing. :)
