.IMB files - how to open

1. so im trying to rip some steam locomotives from the railroad tycoon 2 pak files and ive encountered a single .imb file in the pak does anyone know how to decompile/extract the engine graphics from the archive ? Thank you?
2. and after that do you guys want me to post all of the sprites in a big zip file so there archived and downloadable.

I can't recall if anyone ever discovered how to extract loco graphics. If you do succeed, then please upload (and tell us what you learned about extracting, editing and recompiling).

The sprites MAY have been rendered from 3D studio max models.

Funny this thread should pop up... I've working on extracting everything from the game with a few batch scripts modified from the above Zenhax finds. With help from Watto (of GameExtractor fame) we cracked the .PK2 format of the expansion packs too so we have nearly everything, except for the object shadows which have odd formatting. Nearly done though, will report back when finished - in the meantime, have a search on twitter, I posted a mega folder of most of the vanilla game's sprites there only a few months ago. 🙂
